April 2010 - Present

Working in a small team of highly experienced software developers to develop bespoke software solutions. Clients range from government departments to private companies with a variety of differing requirements from end-client software supporting entire departments to web solutions. Project scales range from a few months up to a few years of development.

Responsibilities include the conception, development, deployment and on-going maintenance of projects. Developing using a variety of tools and technologies primarily working with Visual Studio 2010, C# (.NET 4), SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC 3 and jQuery. Using Subversion for version control. Also responsible for usability engineering targeted at the client and context in mind.

Software Developer - Reformsoft

2010 - Present

Founded the company with another software developer to develop bespoke systems in Ruby on Rails and to take personal interests further in a professional environment. Using Git for version control.

Information Systems Developer - Collins Stewart Wealth Management

June 2008 - April 2010

Developed the intranet system used for stock market management in .NET interfacing with a back-end financial system to produce reports.

Reproductions Engineer - Symantec

June 2007 - June 2008

Worked with Symantec’s Enterprise Vault to reproduce bugs in the software to localise them for the software developers to issue fixes.

Graduated with a first class honours degree and won the Adam Crump Memorial Prize for Personal Achievement. Final year project was published.
